Nu Koncep originally started out as a group of young teenagers hooked on music in 1986. This grouping of school mates invested in their own DJ System under the name of Hip Hop Junkies and played essentially for school fetes, fairs and birthday parties. The Hip Hop Junkies grew in popularity which eventually placed demands on their technical capabilities as well as their musical repertoire. |

The decision to expand their DJ system resulted in a name change to Nu Koncep International and a further investment in hardware. Since the change, Nu Koncep has played gigs in Canada, New York, other Caribbean countries, and has been a fixture on the Vincy club circuit. |
