| Nelson Bloc has been SVG’s largest Band in the Fancy Mas category. The boys from the bloc, namely Paul’s Avenue, have attracted a following unmatched by any other band since it’s inception in 1983. The band is fast approaching 1,000 masqueraders, a
milestone in Vincy Mas history. |

Former band leader, Adonis Goat Hector took a leave of absence in
2003 to be with his family in New York. The Band now performs under its umbrella body, Nelson Bloc Cultural Corporation Inc., a non-profit organization, that aims to promote culture, produce mas and showcase talent. |

NBCCI has continued the tradition of social outreach to its community, especially through the adoption of Bishop's College Secondary School, with sustained assistance in education and culture. Designed by Ossie Constance, Nelson Bloc
last took the Band of
the Year title in 2005 for the 9th time. |
