Freya (Fray-ja), the goddess of Love and Beauty (Section Leader), had a chariot was pulled by two swift blue cats with eyes of glowing embers which turned into blue-feathered eagles when she needed to take to the sky.

Freya owned the precious Brisingas necklace, which she acquired by sleeping with four dwarves. She also owned a beautiful blue feather coat which she could use to fly between the worlds.

Her colours were many but the most prominent of them was blue probably in reference to her father’s power over coastal waters and her own power over the sky. Her stones and precious metals were silver and pink moonstone.

Legend has it that so legendary was Freya’s beauty and so majestic her power that Norse women aspired to be like her. As a symbol of a woman’s beauty and her power over her suitor’s heart Norse men gave them necklaces in honour of Freya. As Norse custom went the more valuable the necklace the more beautiful the suitor considered the maiden.
