Hitz FM is the Radio Partner of SVGTV and was launched on March 3rd 1997 at the advent of the liberalization of Radio in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Hitz FM became the first FM Station to go to air.

Hitz FM, through its two frequencies, 103.7MHz & 91.5 MHz, effectively covers our island chain, while reaching communities in St. Lucia, Martinique, Grenada and Barbados. Our signals have reached as far as Trinidad and Tobago, Martinique and most recently, Brazil.

Hitz FM programmes twenty-four hours daily with a live format from 6:00am to 1:00am. The remaining air time is augmented with automated music.

Our format is a unique mix of Urban Caribbean and North American music. Musical genres include Soca, Ragga Soca, Kaiso, Reggae, Dub, Dancehall, Hip Hop, R&B, Pop, Jazz, and Gospel. We are not restricted to a programmed format but we do insist that no particular genre must extend beyond 20 minutes in any given hour. Announcers have total creative freedom, except in the case of specially identified slots. We simply play all the hitz, and listeners are assured of a blend and variety that is both unique and extremely entertaining.

Hitz FM essentially targets the 15 - 35 age group, and we do enjoy a significant listenership in those who consider themselves young at heart. Our rating is presently Number One, with a 26% audience share in a six station market.
